What's a "gluten-free" and "lactation" bakery?
"Gluten-free" means a food has no gluten; the protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. Many packaged gluten-free products like bread, pasta, and baked goods are often made with alternative flours from things like rice, corn, or potatoes.
What is a "gluten-free lactation bakery":
A bakery that specializes in baked goods intended to help increase milk supply for breastfeeding mothers. These items are made with ingredients free from gluten, refined sugars, eggs, and dairy; and feature ingredients like oats and flaxseed, which are thought to have milk-boosting properties.
Regenerating For Healthier Meats
Meet Bee Creek Farm where three households joined forces to build a regenerative farm.
This team is driven by the desire the leave a lasting legacy that’s rooted in a deep respect for the land and a passion for sharing the exhilarating potential of regenerative agriculture.
Bee Creek's High Quality: Cattle, Chickens, & Hogs
Cattle are the heart of our operation in Crossville, TN. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or chemical fertilizers; and we don't feed our cattle anything but grass (and mineral supplement). Our beef is leaner than grain-finished beef, but still juicy and very satiating.
Our pastured chickens are Cornish Cross, (the same breed in grocery stores), eating bugs and plants they ingest on pasture, with a supplement of a non-GMO, soy-free grain feed to help them grow to size.
The hog breeds we use are Gloucestershire Old Spots, Red Wattle, and Large English Black hogs - all of these are heritage breeds, prized for the hardiness of the animals and the quality of the meat. This pork is rich in flavor and texture. It is "our other awesome red meat".
Our forested, heritage breed hogs are raised with care in Crossville, giving our meats that unbeatable flavor. So whether its their Maple Brown Sugar Breakfast Links - a morning favorite, their Polish Kielbasa Brats packed with a savory punch or thick-cut chops — every bite will be delicious!

A Bee-utiful Relationship
Now more than ever, appreciating our beekeepers is crucial to our planet and our health!
Which is why this cheerful face is all a buzz about bees!
Meet Chip with Harrison Bay Honey Farm, our local beekeeper and member of the Tennessee Valley Beekeepers Association.
Honey Bees produce the most local honey in their short 63 days alive and do so because they're so social with their 60,000-80,000 fellow hive mates! As soon as the flowers are popping open, these bees are working on evolving daily tasks, communicating with each other to gather as much pollen as they can to produce their honey.
While our little ones 1-2 years old should hold off on consuming honey, the rest of the family will benefit from adding local honey into their diet and medicine cabinet.
It helps in strengthening your immune system, aiding digestion, boosting energy levels, and easing sore throats – making it so much more than a tasty treat. It is also an antibacterial so it will even help heal wounds and burns.
Whether you're adding it as a healthier sweetener or ensuring you have a daily helper for your over-all health; we encourage you to ask Chip on Sundays all about what his Honey Bees have been up to.
